Creating Mac OS X Jaguar button in Adobe Photoshop 7

1. Create new document 300x200 with transparent background
2. Set foreground colour to #438AD6
3. Create rounded rectangle - Radius: 20px, size 130x27
4. Use Drop Shadow and Storke like in this pictures:

5. Select object clicking Ctrl + layer
6. Using Rectangular Marquee Tool + alt cut a piece of selection:

7. Create new layer
8. Use gradient 'white to transparent' on new layer. Go out of selection to get this:

9. Select object by clicking Ctrl + layer (first layer)
10. Set colour to #000854
11. Add new layer
12. Use gradient 'colour to transparent' from side-top and repeat it if you need to get this:

13. Ctrl+D
14. Duplicate layer
15. Edit -> Transform -> Flip Horizontal
16. Move duplicated and flipped layer to right place (move tool)

17. Create rounded rectangle without any effects (colour is unimportant). It must touch a top edge of the button.

18. Select this layer by clicking Ctrl + layer and delete layer.
19. Now cut a piece of selection like in paragraph 6. It should end right above half button:

20. Create new layer.
21. Use gradient 'white to transparet' on new layer starting at the top of selection and end under the selection (in half button or a little bit further)
22. Now set Opacity to 60-65% for layer with new gradient.

23. Ctrl+D
24. Using Eraser Tool 1px 100% erase sharp edges of new layer.

25. The Button is ready! Now go Layer -> Merge Visible and paste the button on some background, for example such as this:
