Emil
Hi all, and welcome to the cloning tutorial for Photoshop!
Let me give you some basics on this effect.
So, if you want yourself to be standing next to yourself, you need to take two picture, right?
Ok, so put your camera in one place, and dont move it at all untill your finished shooting!!
Put self-timer and stand in one place, put self-timer again, and stand in other place, unless you want yourself to
have two heads or four arms, or something, lol.
Ok, when thats done import both pictures in Photoshop.
Select one picture, make a new layer and call it "Clone", by double clicking on its default name.
Go in the other picture, click "CTRL+A" to select whole picture or go Select->All, then click
"CTRL+C" or Edit->Copy to copy what you have selected, now go back in the first picture, select the
"Clone" layer and click "CTRL+V" or go Edit->Paste to paste what we have copied before.
You should now have this:

Of course you wont be seeing both picture at same time now, but you will soon smile.gif.
Ok, make sure your "Clone" layer is selected, then select "Polygonal Lasso Tool", make sure you put its
feather to about 15-30 and select around yourself, like this:
Now, click "CTRL+C" to copy what you have selected, click on the original layer, the one below "Clone" layer,
and click "CTRL+V"
Now, either hide, or delete "Clone" layer, and ta-daa! Very simple and nice looking clone effect.
This is how layers should look, just as final result:

And this is my tennis goblet:

now lets make people think I have 3 of them, hehe, just do all same as before with one more layer, this is final result,
and layers order:

Some people would do cloning like this, you know, precisley select person or object and paste it a few times like this:
That doesent look bad, but this takes about 10 seconds more and you get much better results!
And in case someone wants to play with pictures, here they are:

I hope this tutorial was helpful, and that you learned something from it.
