Slicing and Dreamweaver Intergration
Written by Mat Dwyer Octber 3rd, 2004

1) Slice up your psd so that the places where you want to write your info are in their own slices.

2) Go file>Save for web> and enter the appropriate settings for your liking. (e.g. the right compression, file format, ect.) Then press save and make sure that its saving using the "HTML and Images" setting.

3) Open the file (normally index.html) in dreamweaver. Align the whole table in the center.

4) Click on the image that you want to write over.

5) Copy the image name from the properties.

6) Delete the image. Then while the cusor is in the cell, paste the name of the image in the table background box.

7) Then just type your content smile.gif You might have to press enter a couple times to position the table correctly, but once you start putting text in it should go good.

---------------------
Adding image maps

1) Highlight the image, then the image map tool.

2) Drag your cursor over the part you want the image map to be.

3) Fill in the properties for where you want the image to link to.
Ben
How do I make it so that the text doesn't go directly to the middle of the content box? So it starts at the top and works its way down?

Thanks,

--Ben.
