In this tutorial, I will dhow you how to creat an easy waterfall/moving water effect.

1. Go to File, New then make a 300 by 300 pixels file.

2. Duplicate the layer and select the new layer.

3. Now up to Filter, Render, Clouds I find that lighter clouds look better but you can play around with this.

4. Filter, Distort, Twirl use about 200% for the angle.

5. Now to add some colour, Image, Adjustments, Hue/Saturation, remember to check the colourise box and move the Hue until you get a nice blue or green colour for the water.

6. Filter, Distort, Ripple, use amount=100% and size=medium.

7. Filter, Distort, Polar Coordinates, choose Polar to Rectangular and 100%.

8. Add a layer style, beneath your layers are some links, chose to add a layer style and chose gradient overlay, the settings should be - [b]Normal, 50%, a black to white gradient, linear, check the align to layers box, 90 degrees and 100%.

Now you should have a cool waterfall effect. smile.gif
