Here is a simple tut to make a cool little button for your interface...Enjoy!!!

Step 1:
First lets start with a 100x30 doument. Now fill in the background color with #C0C0C0.

Step 2:
Add your logo of choice in a black color and lower the opacity to about 30%. This goes on it own layer named "logo."

Step 3:
Get your rectangular lasso out and create a rectagle all the way across and about a third of the way down. Creat a new layer and name it "glare." Inside of this rectangle you are gonna fill it with white. Now go filter>gaussian blur and enter in 2.9 as the amount. Lower the opacity to 45%.

Step 4:
Now get your pencil tool and set it to 1px. Creat a new layer and place a black line that goes about 3/4 the way down. Now grab your eraser tool and set it to about 15 fuzzy and dab away the top and bottom of the line . Not too much though. Now duplicate the layer, hit ctrl+i and nudge it 1 px to the right, duplicate that layer and nudge it 2 px to the left, hit ctrl+e, lower the opacity to about 35%, go back to the original layer and lower that opacity to about 25-30%, and go back to the top layer and hit ctrl+e and name that layer "indent." This is what it should look like now.

Step 5:
Now simply add your text on the right and you have a simple metalic button. I find it best to add the text in black then lower the opacity to 30%. Good luck and hope this helped you.
