Business Layout Tutorial

Learn how to create this beautiful layout (click image to view full-size):

Each step is completely explained, so this tutorial is image heavy and appropiated to beginners.

Creating our base



1. Open a new document. I'll be using 900px x 927px, and 72 as pixel/inch.
Fill the background layer using the paintbucket tool (IPB Image or G).


2. Create a new layer (Layer >> New >> Layer or press Shift + Ctrl + N).
There is where we're going to apply our scanlines.





3. Now, to make the scanlines, open a new 9px x 9px document.
Zoom it as much as you can.

Pick the Pencil tool by clicking on the Brush Tool IPB Image and holding a few seconds.
A drop-down menu will appear then, so pick the pencil tool.

4. We need to use some square brushes. Photoshop includes a set of square brushes by default, so we're going to use that one.

Select the "1px square brush" and using #231e1d as foreground color, draw a diagonal line.
