In this tutorial I will teach you how to create your own game case from scratch...almost. We will be using a character render and a picture. Though you may learn quite a few techniques in this tutorial
The prerequisites for this tutorial are:
You need
Zombie Noise font installed.
You will also need the TW Cen Condensed Font found
here.A picture of a room, which I have provided here.
Your mouse, keyboard and something to drink during breaks.
In this tutorial you will learn to use many tools. I will assume you are a beginner in photoshop. I will also assume that after being in a menu once you have learned that menu or at least know where it is. So if we revisit the same menu twice the second time I will not give a screenshot of lets say going to menu Layers > New > New layer. Only the first time. I do still give the File path in directions though and the Key shortcut command if any.
Are you ready? If not brace yourself, because it has begun!
First things first, open Photoshop and create a new document with 481px width and 552px height with a background that is black.
Now Create a new layer by going to Layer > New > Layer or by pressing Shift+Cntrl+N

Next select the Rectangular Marquee Tool

or by pressing M.
At the top you should see options for the marquee tool, make sure feather is set to 0, and have the style Fixed Size, set the Width to 481px and the height to 61px. Like below:

Now create that at the top of the canvas, it should look like this at the top of your canvas:

Now take the paint bucket tool

or press G. Fill this with black also.
------
Now we are going to veer away from this image canvas for a minute or two, and create a pattern for the diagonal stripes. Goto File > New or Press Cntrl+N. Make this canvas 3px by 3px and the background transparent.
Now zoom in as far as you can, should be 1600% zoom. Now take the line tool

or press U, make sure your color is white and the Weight of the line is 1px (adjust at the top of the window like the marquee tool) and draw from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. A good way to make sure it is exact, is have the crosshair intersection right on the border corner of the canvas from one corner to the other. You should have something like below:
